I love a good scrod dish and this one is easy to prepare.
Recipe Ingredients
8 Boston scrod fillets (6-8 oz each)
1 cup mayo
1 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup lemon juice
1 clove garlic, minced
salt and pepper
2 cups fine bread crumbs
lemon wedges
Recipe Steps
1- pre-heat oven to 450 degrees
2- grease large baking sheet
3- rinse fish and set aside
4- in shallow bowl, mix together the mayo, buttermilk, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper to taste...blend well.
5- spread bread crumbs on a sheet of wax paper
6- dip the fillets in the batter, let excess drip back into bowl, then dip into the bread crumbs, using fingers to help crumbs adhere to fillets
7- bake for 15 minutes or until crisp
8 serve warm with lemon wedges
