Fruity Flax Smoothie

This is a very healthy variation for your traditional smoothie, using flax seed.
Recipe Ingredients
½ cup low fat milk
1 ½ cup light vanilla yogurt
1 cup fresh or frozen berries (try raspberries, blueberries or strawberries)
2 medium, ripe bananas
3 Tbsp milled flax seed
2 Tbsp honey (to taste)
Recipe Steps
1) Place all ingredients in a blender and mix on medium high speed for 45 seconds or until smooth
2) Pour into glasses and serve immediately.





Additional Tips
For a chocolate peanut butter version, substitute peanut butter (1/4 cup) for fruit and add a couple tablespoons chocolate syrup. Yum!
